Hi, Stephan, yes, the Carpathians are very charming, athough I am ready any time to go to Switzerland now to make the comparison!

On the immigration: I would be glad to answer your questions, if only I had the expertize. Your article will be a very welcome read for us. I will keep my eyes on your site for when it comes out.

I remember seeing the Carpati after being in the flatlands of Ukraine for months. Thought I'd been transported to Switzerland, the change was so dramatic. Lovely pictures. And thanks for the comment over on my blog -- I'm writing an article, not intended for the blog, about how it's increasingly difficult for US citizens to marry a non-US citizen. New regulations, fees, security demands, etcetera. Would welcome the chance to ask a question or two by email, in particular about whether or not the change in the Direct Consular Filing policy has brought about a change in your plans (to stay out of US long term, or just for the time being?). Anyways, best regards - Stephan
