Looking for a jamming buddy
All those living in Kyiv area would like to join my American husband’s jamming sessions? Ukraininan language would be ok, but English-speaking fellow jammers are preferred. He plays accoustic and electric guitar, owns a bunch of home-recording stuff I don’t know the names for. His music inspiration are the Beatles, Elliot Smith, recently The Decembrists, etc.

Dear olechko. My husband and I are notoriously bad at playing instruments. However, we do admire your husband’s taste in music – my song of the week this week is a song by The Decemberists!

Xoxo, the Decembrists seems to be the band-of-choice these days!
Alas, unlike many other crafts, music is meant to be played with others. Please pass the word among your friends, if you you would. What if there is someone out there, also playing quietly in their apartments wishing for a company

Dear olechko. I shall pass the word around… I don’t know many people who play instruments! I’d love to get a keyboard to muck around on. And I know a Ukrainian girl who loves to sing. Although I think she does like a lot of the old folk music, she’s a pretty cool chick… I’ll ask around.
We only discovered The Decemberists about two weeks ago! We find new bands by visiting metacritic.com. Besides that we love Australian rock and roll, there’s a fair bit of it out there, and Muse, Interpol, Yeah yeah yeahs, the strokes etc.
