hi, Karring, I would be happy to show you a few places for "good art" - this is such a personal question what is really good; meanwhile check out the Andriyivsky descent on the weekends, look for artists selling their own work. Stop by the Zeh gallery on Podil (see adresses in this post: http://olechko.org/blog/2007-07-29/the-report-of-the-gallery-crawl-no1/ )
also give a try to L Art Honchari also on Andriyivsky - for some nice pottery.

You can strike that remark about 'good artists' in my comment above. I'm not sure what I meant by it. How would you know what I like : ) Anyhow, I've been browsing your site and found a lot of great info. Good work. I also saw your post about the L'viv art market vs. Kyiv prices. Anyhow, I would still appreciate any tips on where to buy reasonable (rather large) art to add some color to the white cubes I live in. Cheers.

Here is a mundane question but I'll put the comment here as your post made me think of it. I just moved to Kyiv and I have tons of big off-white walls to fill with much needed (fairly large) art. Any recommendations would be great on where to buy good art, good artists etc. Of course I have more wall space than budget -- but so goes life. Thanks.
