Beekeper’s daughter

Beekeper's breakfast15 x15 cm, oil on board, 2008, private collection

This is my breakfast from a few days back when I was at my parents’ in Lutsk. You probably all heard plenty that my dad makes makes outstanding honey and wine. I love the honey on bread, the particular kind of bread – the baton – white, a touch sweet, with the signature three cuts over th elongated loaf. It’s been around as long as I remember myself…

Oh man! Fresh honey! So, so delicious. You are one lucky lady.
What kind of wine does your dad make?

    thanks, Yakym!
I should paint a bottle of dad’s honey wine. He mixes raspberries, cherries and such into some of his batches. I am really getting into the process. The results are yet sporadic, but we are really enjoying the good outcome.
