In response to the comment on the previous butcher picture - precisely because I don’t east meat, these scenes attract me so much. I quit eating meat during my first year in the US. On campus meat meant McDonald’s hamburgers or Kentucky Fried Chicken. Comparing to the fresh Ukrainian market meats, this was pure hell. Going fishitarian was the only way to survive. The habit kind of stuck since then.

that’s funny - I went off meat when I went to school in the UK - similar crap was being served in our canteen and it got worse at uni. No wonder so many students become vegetarians! rock on spinach eaters.
