Chocolates IV
2008 oil on panel 15×15 cm
Please email me your bid (starting at $75) if you’d like to own this piece.
This is a last chocolate picture, at least for now. The box is now empty and I can’t look at chocolates any more. The comfort food season just beginning and god knows how much of these we will devour through the winter. But one can get almost at much pleasure from viewing the sweets on pictures as from eating them. Definitely much healthier this way. Enjoy !

A subject dear to my heart. You might enjoy my reflections on chocolate . Actually since I wrote that piece, I’ve changed somewhat. I buy only “fair trade chocolate” (i.e., chocolate which is produced anywhere but Ivory Coast). Also, I’m beginning to like almonds better than chocolate…but I will be the first to admit that chocolate is a better subject for paintings!

xaxa, hi Robert! Great to hear from you, Good-good for supporting fair trade. And do you remember the “torts”? -hose sumptuous Ukrainian cakes with layers of cream and decor of all sorts. The king of all was and still remains the Kyivsky. I can’t wait to get my hands on one to paint it here…
