At Volodymyrsky Cathedral, Kyiv
2008 oil on panel 15×15 cm SOLD
This is an interior of St. Volodymyr Cathedral in Kyiv. I liked the contrast between the view of the tourist – architecture appreciator (my dear friend Stephanie) and the babushka in the background who is fixing the candle stand. The cathedral happens to have some of the most renowned frescoes in the country.
