Dray walk on a sunny day

I noted English people do know how to get maximum of the sunny weather. As soon as first warm rays glimpse out – lawns in the city and parks immediately get filled with people… Alas London weather is changeable enough I am finishing this daily painting when it’s drizzling light rain outside.

Every Saturday morning
We hope for blue sky and sun
But we never expect to get it

On the street under the awning
Sipping a coffee, eating a bun
We relax together and sit

And time stands still, for a little bit

Olha, this is a great panting. Your limited palette works wonderfully and I love the shapes the people create and the shapes they leave in the composition !

This painting makes me want to know what the couple is talking about on their sunny outing.

It’s true. My mum just came for a visit and couldn’t get enough. Whereas here in California, the sun’s always there so people don’t go mad for it. On sunny days in London you can’t move for people lying in the park. Here people want the shade. For that reason I prefer it here. I always felt guilty not wanting to go outside on sunny days when in England.
    But I burn easily.
