A day in Bergamo
Wednesday, August 26th, 2009Last day of the vacation I spent hanging out in the old town Bergamo, packed with quaint shops, restaurants and surprisingly good choice of local beers on offer. Venetian architectural influence throughout the town offers an unparalleled experience wandering around the narrow streets. The favourite discovery for me there was Palazzo della Ragione on it’s main square. It’s single room exhibit of Canalettos, Moronis and Tallones with a medieval staircase leading up to it offers a unique museum going experience. Here’s a view from one of the side streets, via Gombito, I quickly sketched in the evening before hopping on the funicular and to the airport to catch the flight to Stansted.
