Summer has arrived to Casa Blue on Brick Lane

Monday, April 27th, 2009

A season of frilly white dresses and big sunglasses has come! `Nevermind it’s bitterly cold and raining here today on Monday when I am posting this – yesterday was the first real sunny and warm weekend here in East End and here’s how i saw it. Also this weekend I blissfully planned a fabulous trip later in the summer (those things have to be planned way in advance) but will keep the destination a secret for  a while.

Popped in there last Monday after a long relaxing weekend in the countryside – to get a breath of yummy smelling London air (ambiance is so cool) and a bite of the best pizza ever.

Cafe Paddy Field on Dray Walk

During Sunday up market between Brick Lane and the Spitalfields this Japanese food stall is one of the best!  It provides fresh popular Japanese fast food that is less known but deliciously addictive. The croquettes and deep fried shrimp  is amazingly good! I tucked in a few this Sunday morning, and took a photo to make the mental note to come back :) .

Same furniture, different place

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

One of my favorite places on Brick Lane Coffee @ has been shut down for a few weeks, due to the damn recession I thought. I rushed in exited when it opened its doors again just to find out that it changed hands. Very sad indeed, as it has lost its charming scruffiness  and the great music background.

My good camera still does not show any signs of life therefore another camera phone image. Only because of this (and not my skill I swear) the person at the back looks like a fat caterpillar – fixed it, hopefully not any more.
