My brother said the other day: ” I never thought I am a foodie until I moved to London.” That’s all thanks to the abundant markets around town and all the wonderful food there is on offer there. This is a picture of my neighborhood one – the Broadway market. A side street off of it on the market day, when the coffee man brings his pop up coffee shop to the intersection of Broadway and Dericote St. on Saturdays.

This Saturday went to the Broadway market to pick up some fresh fish and to pick up some books a the Broadway Market bookshop (where my oils are on display right now). Happy to report a new fishmongers opened on the street and now I can go there even during the week. Made three scenes of the market goes in watercolor and back to working on the large painting, giving myself a week to complete.

L’eau a la Bouche is becoming my favorite coffee stop. A friend came down from Singapore to celebrate her birthday in London last week, and this seemed to the best place to take to on Sunday to drench in the sun and soak in the East London vibe at the moment.

An image of a merry company here, having dinner at the Dove – a favorite local pub on Broadway market road in London Fields area. The food at the restaurant is great, but it’s the great beer that keeps the loyal locals (me including) coming back.

A lovely scene of a group of women meeting over coffee, most likely to discus the latest design project they do; at a delicatessen called l’eau a la bouche on Broadway market in East London.

I was not convinced 100% that the girl kneeling by the shelf was Amy, but named this piece in her honor. anyway. This bookshop is fantastic and it is a must-do for me at the Broadway Market on Saturday mornings.

I mentioned on my facebook that an almost etective story hapened to em over the weekend. This picture is to commemorate it, the recovery of my stolen bike happened right by this pub. Besides being a site for adrenalin rush police chases, the Dove is also my favoarite gastropub with amazing selection of Begian beers and great food.
