I think the builders will have us stuck with the site for the rest of the summer. Still, need for the sun prevails and we unflappably take our coffee outside.

This past Thursday was the Royal Academy Summer show submission day, so there were no pictures here for a few days. While there, saw lots of lost-looking artists with telling bubble-wrapped canvases in their hands – all waterproof, except mine, and I cycled; almost got blown off the road by the wind -has been very blustery in London recently; and I totally overestimated what I can carry in my trusty Brompton front basket. And of course it rained on the way. So wish me luck…

And even if there is nothing better then direct personal experience with art, more an more people these days turn to the net looking to buy art. In a very democratic and confusing art world internet art market gets it’s profile higher and higher with the likes of Christie’s online auctions, Saatchi online, New Blood, etc.Internet has become yet another form of putting artists with the collectors, more direct then ever.

In the next several posts I will lay out my views on subject of buying art online. Hope this may be of help for some.
