Finished! It’s a new experience for me – a painting four times larger then I normally do; I purposefully tried to keep it looking as if it’s still 6×6, overall satisfied with the idea and can’t wait to up the size yet again for the next painting this coming week; first step in progress reports to come tomorrow.

Have I mentioned enough how lucky I was to get a surprise trip to Paris for my 30th birthday the other week!? This is an image that I was able to take in while there – throngs of tourists around the greatest masterpieces in art – the two Michelangelo slaves at the Louvre.

This is where the wedding I’ve been painting took place. These French summer series was a delightful way to escape the snowy reality of London of this week.
